DURATION: ABOUT 90′

SOLO is 90 minutes surrealist show, made of magic, illusions, light, laser. 10 bits during which over 50 characters come to life thanks to the talent of the great Italian quick-change artist Arturo Brachetti. Arturo tells his fantasies and his dreams through a miniature house, symbol of the memories that each of us holds in their heads and in their hearts. With the help of a cameraman the house becomes a set and Arturo invites the public to come and go through 7 different rooms, each associated with a memory or a fantasy that Arturo wanders through with his magic and transformations.

TV ACT

LIVING ROOM

Arturo tells us the story of the first time he saw a serial on TV. The television becomes a magic box, with 9 iconic TV series characters coming out of it and interacting with the scene.

THE HAT

ATTIC

Arturo finds in the attic his grandfather’s hat with which he goes around the world playing 22 characters.

GETTING OLD AT THE TABLE

WATER CLOSET

The room of primordial necessity, where Arturo traces, sitting on a toilet in front of a table, the cycle of life, from birth to death.

THE BOOK OF FAIRY TALES

KID’S ROOM

Arturo gives birth to 8 characters of fairy tales that evoke childhood, from Little Red Riding Hood and the Wolf to Peter Pan, Cinderella and others.

FLYING DRESS

BEDROOM

Arturo finds his mom’s sewing machine. Her lovely flowery dress comes to life and Arturo begins an elegant and nostalgic dance with it.

THE MARRIAGE

CONCOCTIONS ROOM

Funny and hilarious misunderstandings and rapid changes of clothes enliven the kitchen of an Italian family during a wedding. The ingredients are all there: the cook, the maid, the newlywed, the priest and even grandmother.

CHINESE SHADOWS

NOAH’S ARK

After a black out Arturo switches on a small flashlight and with his skillful hands crafts in the light the story of Noah’s Ark animals.

THE FOUR SEASONS

TIME’S ROOM

The paintings of Magritte, Chagall, Monet and Van Gogh, and a lot of magic mark the passage of time on Arturo’s costumes.

EVERYTHING OUT OF NOTHING

IMAGINARY STICK

Arturo does not want to show everything to everyone, and what you can not see you can, however, imagine! Arturo mimes with his imaginary stick many characters, accompanied by their particular sound effects.

POP ICONS

THE AUDIENCE ROOM

The cameraman heads between the public and looks into the purse of a spectator. He finds her phone and opens the music playlist. Arturo traces the history of pop music of the 20th Century, from Edith Piaf to Beyoncé, passing through the Beatles, Pavarotti, Freddie Mercury, Madonna, Céline Dion and Michael Jackson.

SAND ACT

A large sand tornado shuffles all the elements of the show which end up in Arturo’s hands. He revives the whole show in an impressive number of sand painting.

LASER ACT

Arturo faces the cameraman, his nemesis, in a charming and sci-fi dance of geometric shapes and lights.
